Milan isn’t just about fashion and design: it’s also full of magical, hidden corners that totally deserve a place on your feed. Whether you’ve just moved to the city or are planning your next weekend photo walk, here’s a list of the most secret—and super Instagrammable—places in Milan to fill your profile with likes and unforgettable memories. Spoiler: not all of them are in the tourist guides.

Quick Index of lugares instagrameables

Via Lincoln
Libreria Bocca
Giardino della Guastalla
Aperitivo at Naviglio Grande
Parco Sempione
Via Madonnina

1. Via Lincoln

A row of colorful houses that look straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. This hidden gem near Porta Vittoria will make you feel like you’re in Burano… without leaving Milan.

  • Tip: Visit mid-morning when the sun makes the colors pop.

2. Libreria Bocca (inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II)

Sure, the gallery is iconic—but this 200-year-old bookstore is a hidden treasure. The wooden shelves, warm lighting, and antique details make the perfect aesthetic and cultural backdrop. Don’t forget the famous mosaic floor!

  • Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Closed on Sundays.

  • Entry: Free.

3. Giardino della Guastalla

A peaceful Renaissance-style garden near the Statale University. With fountains, staircases and trees, it’s ideal for a chill reel or an aesthetic picnic. Bring a book and a blanket, and enjoy the boho vibes.

  • Opening hours: Daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • Entry: Free

4. Aperitivo en Naviglio Grande

Not one specific place, but an entire atmosphere. Aperitivo time by the canals is unbeatable—reflections in the water, negronis, music, and the ultimate Italian-style vibe for your story.

  • Best time: From 6:00 PM onwards.

  • Entry: Free access. Average price: €8–12 (includes drink and buffet).

5. Parco Sempione

It may not be a hidden spot, but its quieter corners are perfect to capture local life. Find a bench under the trees or snap the Arco della Pace at sunset.

  • Opening hours: Daily from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • Entry: Free.

6. Via Madonnina (Brera District)

Cobblestone streets, art galleries, lovely shop windows and leafy façades. Brera is Milan’s most romantic neighborhood, and Via Madonnina is its visual heart—perfect for spontaneous, artistic or boho-inspired shots.

  • Tip: Best with warm light at the end of the afternoon.

Bonus: Photo Tips in Milan

  • Go early or around golden hour to avoid crowds and get the best light.

  • Play with reflections in shop windows or canals.

  • Bring extra batteries (you’ll be taking tons of pics!).

  • Change your angle—sometimes the best shot is from the ground or above!
